Taking the IELTS writing exam is very stressful. There are a few things you should keep in mind, no matter what the questions are though.
General Tips
-Don't do task one first, task two is worth twice as much.
Before you write:
-Read the question, and keep the key points in your mind.
When you are writing:
-Use your own words to introduce the information.
-Make sure you include an overview of the information. (Task One)
-Use a range of grammatical structures.
-Use your own words and don't copy from the question as much as possible.
-Use linking words, and divide your work into paragraphs.
When you have finished
-Count the number of words. If it is not enough, think about what more you can say.
-Check your grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Task Two
-Your position: Make sure it is clear in the introduction, decide on your main ideas, and make sure you discuss all the parts of the question.
-Use examples to support your opinions.
