When you are taking your reading or listening test, you should be looking for the key words in the questions. One area where people lose marks is that people do not consider the qualifying words.
Consider these two sentences.
1.Every parent believes that education is important.
2.Most parents believe that education is important.
The hardest part of a reading test is when you get those True, False, Not Given questions. Deciding on the difference between ‘false’ and ‘not given’ can be complicated sometimes. The basic rule is to decide are the two things both possible, or is only one possible.
Well think about these things, and you should see your score go up.
1. Timing
If you dont have enough time it is because you are not reading quickly enough. You need to be able to read quickly even if you do not understand every word. To read three articles and answer 60 questions in just 40 minutes is not easy.
